1. Understanding the Offering

CMO Huddles is a curated peer community for active B2B marketing leaders built on four pillars: Power, Peers, PR, and Penguins. Founded by Drew Neisser in 2020, the community now includes 680+ vetted B2B CMOs and leaders.

CMO Huddles is for in-house B2B CMOs, SVPs, VPs, and Heads of Marketing at companies with 50+ employees. It is B2B-only, in-house only, and pitch-free. CMOs between roles can join the separate Transition Team track.

CMO Huddles is B2B-specific, confidential, and peer-powered. Sessions are moderated by Drew Neisser, vendor pitches are not allowed, and Leader members get concierge support, PR opportunities, and RepuTracker access.

Most leaders join because the CMO role is isolating. They stay because value compounds month after month: faster decisions, better vendor choices, stronger board narratives, and trusted peers who have solved similar challenges.

Yes. The model is purpose-built for B2B executive marketing realities including board pressure, AI disruption, sales alignment, and proving strategic impact in complex organizations.

2. Membership & Pricing

Starter is free. Leader membership is $395/month or $3,950/year. Transition Team has a separate path for CMOs between roles with flexible monthly or quarterly options.

Starter includes Expert Huddles, Slack access, and selected recaps. Leader includes everything in Starter plus full Leader Huddles, unlimited Peer Matches, coaching with Drew, concierge support, RepuTracker, and PR opportunities.

Yes. The free Starter tier is designed for trial and fit. Many leaders start there, experience the community, then upgrade to Leader when they want full access.

In most cases, yes. Many members position CMO Huddles as executive development or strategic support. The annual investment is often lower than a single major conference with much higher year-round utility.

Yes. You can upgrade anytime, and changes are handled quickly by the team via support email or Slack without unnecessary process friction.

3. Huddles Programming

Huddles are confidential, expertly moderated Zoom sessions where B2B marketing leaders discuss current challenges and practical solutions. Groups are typically small, consistent, and high-trust.

CMO Huddles includes Leader Huddles, Expert Huddles, Strategy Labs, and the annual Super Huddle. Access depends on membership tier.

Most members get meaningful value from one engagement per month plus recap consumption. The system is designed for busy executives with uneven calendars.

Expert Huddles are recorded and available on demand. Leader Huddles are not recorded to protect confidentiality, but anonymized recaps are provided.

Super Huddle is the annual in-person flagship event for curated B2B marketing leaders, focused on practical strategy, candid exchange, and high-signal networking.

4. Community Support & Connections

You can still get value through recaps, concierge connections, Peer Matches, Slack, and recorded Expert Huddles. Live attendance is useful but not the only value path.

Share your challenge with the team and they connect you with the right CMO, expert, vendor context, or resource quickly, often within 24 hours.

Common asks include board prep, hiring decisions, vendor evaluations, GTM pivots, org design, and peer intros. If it helps you lead better, the team will route support.

Moderately active and high-signal. Questions are typically answered quickly, and the team monitors channels to keep support practical and responsive.

Yes. Transition Team offers dedicated support for leaders between roles, including peer sessions, job-search resources, and coaching/recruiter connectivity.

5. Personal Branding & PR

Leader members get multiple executive visibility paths including CMO Huddles Studio, Renegade Marketers Unite podcast opportunities, Top 101 recognition, and amplification channels.

CMO Huddles Studio is a live-streamed show featuring leader conversations on timely B2B topics. Episodes are also repurposed into podcast content for broader visibility.

Yes. Many members appear through Studio or standalone episodes, helping them build authority with a high-quality B2B audience.

An annual recognition list curated around impact and leadership. It is not pay-to-play and is widely shared across the CMO Huddles network and LinkedIn.

6. Value & Outcomes

Members typically report better decision speed, clearer strategic thinking, improved board confidence, stronger execution choices, and reduced leadership isolation.

Many members report actionable value in their first session or first Slack exchange. Value compounds over time as trust and context deepen.

For many leaders, yes. One major avoided mistake, one high-quality recommendation, or one better strategic decision can offset the investment quickly.

CMO Huddles is intentionally B2B-marketing specific, confidential, moderation-led, and operator-focused, with practical support instead of broad generic networking.

7. Eligibility & Application

Approved applicants receive onboarding guidance and recommended first actions. If fit is not right yet, the team responds transparently.

Yes. While most live programming is US-time-zone friendly, international leaders can participate through recaps, Slack, and on-demand content.

No. The member community is in-house leader only. Agency and vendor relationships follow the separate partner pathway.

8. Community Culture

Leader Huddles follow Chatham House Rule, are not recorded, and are curated for high-trust participation. The no-pitch policy is strictly enforced.

Participants can use the information they learn but cannot attribute comments to specific individuals or companies.

Supportive, candid, practical, and low-ego. Members are expected to contribute and help others, not just consume content.

Both. Discussions range from operational decisions and stack choices to executive alignment, board communication, and long-horizon strategy.

9. AI & Tools

AI is a core topic across Expert and Leader Huddles, newsletter coverage, and podcast conversations, with a focus on practical adoption and leadership decisions.

RepuTracker is a monthly reputation tracking capability for Leader members that provides trend visibility and guidance for executive brand stewardship.

RepuTracker is available as a Leader membership benefit. Access is not included in the CMO Huddles Starter program.

AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) helps brands appear in AI-generated answers. As buyer research shifts to AI interfaces, AEO becomes a strategic visibility lever.

Yes. The team uses AI in workflows and shares what is working, what is not, and how leaders can adopt responsibly.
